Berry Andrews (Anders), son of John ANDREWS & Mary CHEEK, was born abt. 1823 in Orange or Ashe Co., NC, and died abt. 1895 in Grayson Co., VA. He married Catherine Poole, daughter of Jonathan POOLE & Anna Betsy CONNOY, abt. 1852. She was born Jan. 26, 1827, in Grayson, Co., VA, and died on Mar. 23, 1891, in Grayson Co., VA. Berry & Catherine Andrews (Anders) are believed to be buried at the Osborne R. Anders Cemetery in Grayson Co., VA.

Notes

Berry Andrews (Anders) was the youngest son of John ANDERS & Mary CHEEK.  He is the only son whose identity has been verified, because he is listed with John and Mary in the 1850 census.  Berry Andrews married Catherine POOLE about 1852 based on the ages of their children.  They lived in Grayson County, VA, and are thought to be buried at the Osborne R. Anders Cemetery overlooking the New River southwest of Independence, Virginia.  However, their gravestones are no longer legible.
