Haywood Cox, son of Samuel COX, Sr., & Rebecca OSBORNE was born June 10, 1814, in Grayson Co., VA, and died Jan. 11, 1892, in Grayson Co., VA. He married Frances Jennings, daughter of Solomon JENNINGS & Sarah FENDER, Dec. 25, 1852, in Ashe Co., NC. She was born Feb. 19, 1836, in Ashe Co, NC, and died Dec. 11, 1910, in Alleghany Co., NC. Haywood Cox is buried at the Little Sam Cox Cemetery on Route 629, Peach Bottom, Grayson Co., VA. Frances may be buried in this cemetery, but her gravestone has not been found.
