Allen Fender, son of John FENDER & Martha "Patsy" TOLIVER, was born Apr. 8, 1815, in Ashe Co., NC, and died May 5, 1894, in Alleghany Co., NC. He married Nancy Edwards, daughter of William EDWARDS & Nancy CARTER, Mar. 19, 1835. She was born Apr. 16, 1815, in Orange or Ashe Co., NC, and died Jan. 11, 1902, in Alleghany Co., NC. Allen and Nancy are buried at the Hiram Edwards Cemetery on Road 1162, Bledsoe Creek, Alleghany Co., NC.

Notes

Allen Fender was the second child and eldest son of John and Nancy (Toliver) Fender.  Allen Fender's birthdate, Apr. 8, 1815, is recorded in the Jesse Toliver family Bible. Allen Edwards and his wife Nancy lived on the Little River and Peach Bottom Mountain, a part of which is now called Fender Mountain.  They are buried at the Hiram Edwards Cemetery, Road 1162, Bledsoe Creek, Alleghany Co., NC.  (See Alleghany Cemeteries Through 1986 pub. by the Alleghany Co.
