James and Juliana Smith are buried at the Rector Cemetery, also known as the Old Smith Cemetery, Road 1439, Ennice, Alleghany Co., NC.

James Asberry Smith may have been a son of Bennett Smith (b. abt. 1819) of Surry County, NC, but confirmation is needed. The 1850 census of Surry County, NC, Southern Division, p.196 (HH#527) has a Bennett Smith, age 31, with wife A. Elender (age 28) and several children including a son, "Asburry," age 5.
